DocScanner ("the app") is a document scanning app built around one principle: your documents belong to you. The app works entirely on your device. We operate no servers, require no account, show no ads, and use no tracking of any kind.
We collect none of your content. Every scan, document, folder, tag, and OCR text result is created, processed, and stored only on your device. Nothing you scan ever leaves your device unless you explicitly share or export it yourself.
Scanning, filtering, text recognition (OCR), translation, and search all run locally using Apple's on-device frameworks. No document content is transmitted to us or to any third party.
Documents you lock are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is derived from your password and is never stored or transmitted. If enabled, Face ID unlock uses a key protected by the device's Secure Enclave, which never leaves your device and is excluded from backups. We cannot access, recover, or reset your locked documents.
Payments for DocScanner Pro are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. To understand our sales (for example, how many subscriptions are active), we use RevenueCat, which receives purchase records (product, price, date) associated with a random anonymous identifier. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking or advertising.
The app requests camera access to scan documents and photo library access only when you choose to import photos or save pages to your library. These permissions are used solely for the feature you invoked.
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
